The Souris B461 4U industrial rackmount computer is a versatile general purpose industrial system ideal for government and defense, industrial automation, test & measurement, data acquisitions and simulator applications. The configuration flexibility and expansion slot options enable this system to be deployed in a wide variety of industries and applications.

Powered by a 2rd generation Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7/i5/i3 dual or quad-core processor, Souris B461 has the performance you need for your industrial application. Featuring onboard Intel HD Graphics, the Souris B461 can drive two displays running full HD graphics. Additional video cards can be installed for multiple display applications.

This system supports a several 14-slot PICMG 1.0 backplanes for a wide spectrum of applications that have differing expansion slot requirements. Choose from backplanes with ISA and PCI, or only PCI slots for applications that need legacy and modern technology support. For customers requiring a lot of PCI expansion, Souris B461 can be configured with backplanes with up to 12 PCI slots. True to its nature, the Souris B461 can be configured to operate any power environment. Whether you need AC or DC, Souris B461 can be configured with the power supply you need for your environment. For mission critical applications, redundant power supply options are available in either AC or DC input. Souris B461 input voltage options are auto range 90 264VAC, 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC, 72VDC, 120VDC, and 220VDC.

Watchdog Timer The Souris B461 features a watchdog timer, which ensures that this system will always recover from catastrophic conditions that cause the computer to crash. When the CPU stops working correctly, the watchdog timer either performs a processor reset or a Non-maskable interrupt (NMI) to bring the system back to a known state. The watchdog timer is software programmable and can be set from 1 to 255 seconds, after which it will generate an interrupt or reset signal.
Audio (optional) Audio is available with the use of the HD audio kit. The HD audio kit features a Realtek ALC888 7.1+2 Channel High Definition Audio Codec.

Digital I/O The Souris B461 features a Digital I/O (DIO) connector which is interfaced to the GPIO ports on the Super I/O chipset. The DIO has both 4-bit digital inputs and 4-bit digital outputs.

Infrared The Souris B461 has an internal infrared connector for attaching an optional infrared receiver for use with remote controls.
PCIe to PCI Bridge The Souris B461 uses the IT8892E from ITE, which is a single-function PCI Express to PCI bridge, which is compliant with the PCI Express Base Specification Revision 1.1, PCI Local Bus Specification Revision 3.0 and PCI Express to PCI/PCI-X Bridge Specification Revision 1.0. The PCI Express interface supports a x1 lane configuration, and enables the bridge to provide high-performance operation of the data transfer rate up to 250MB/s. The PCI bus interface supports 32-bit and can operate at up to 66 MHz.
PCI-ISA Bridge ISA expansion is provided by the IT8888G PCI to ISA Bridge Chip from ITE. The IT8888G serves as a bridge between the PCI bus and ISA bus. The IT8888Gs 32-bit PCI bus interface is compliant with PCI Specification V2.1 and supports both PCI Bus Master & Slave. The IT8888G also integrates two enhanced DMA Slave controllers for achieving PCI DMA cycles: PC/PCI DMASlave Controller & Distributed DMA Slave Controllers. The device includes an ISA interface which supports full ISA compatible functions.
